With an objective to understand the level of engagement of industries in skill development domain and their participation in skill development programs, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) has undertaken a study titled ‘Industry Engagement in Skill Development: Skill Gap in High Growth Manufacturing & Service Sectors’. The study aims at identifying the industry segment(s) with high rate of job opportunities and also their preferred mode of engagement for skill development. This study would also try to understand the challenges faced by the industries while engaging in skill development.

FICCI has engaged Bureau of Research on Industry & Economic Fundamentals (BRIEF) Pvt Ltd to undertake the research exercise & draft the report.  Post the extensive research exercise & analysis of responses from respondent organisations, a comprehensive report on the status of skill development would be prepared that would be disseminated at the FICCI Global Skill Summit 2017.
